But we alone, hold the power to change them. We just need to stay alert and learn to observe our thoughts, to be quick to recognize our negativity and take the opportunity to change it into positive. We can so easily become complacent, comfortable with the way in which our mind works. Accepting that this is just who we are?
But we are so much more, we are complex and adaptable and we have the wonderful ability to change. To overcome any thoughts that are holding us back.
At times our mind can play tricks on us. Telling us that we are not worthy, that we do not deserve to be happy. Thoughts that we have carried with us, from a young age. Conversations that happened in the past, but now live on in your mind, a narrative that has become like a broken record, making you feel powerless.
But you hold the power. We hold the power, to thrust these thoughts away and ground ourselves in the present moment. To take a deep breath and tell yourself, that "I am worthy, I am powerful,I am enough."
Do not give power to the negative, because when you do, it only drains you and then you end up feeling, exactly what your thoughts were telling you to feel. Switch it around and focus your energy on being positive. Create a change in your mindset, so that you can create a change in the world around you.
Every change always begins with you!
Everyday we have a choice on how we wish to start our day, yes we may have had a rough night and we may feel like there is no way in which we can get through the day, but as stated in one of her recent posts about improving your sleep pattern, you only need to tel yourself that you had enough sleep in order for you to believe it.
We can see how powerful, certain narratives are, by observing what is happening in the world today. How so many believe that there bodies do not have the ability to heal from a virus. Yet it is something we have been doing since we existed. Humans and viruses have always existed together. but tell a story long enough and people believe it.
This is the power of our thoughts and the very stories that form them, that form our beliefs. There is nothing more powerful, than believing in yourself! Believing in your body and right now, as we move forward into the year, this is something we all need to achieve. Self belief!
To build upon our confidence, by accepting who you are. By accepting all the things that you may perceive as weaknesses, by seeing each failure, as a lesson as an opportunity for growth. Because really their are no failures only opportunities and it is as simple as that, seeing the positive in all that happens.
Even in the pain that we experience. All pain, especially emotional pain is an expression of love, a testament to how much we can love!
It does not stop the intensity, but it does help us to move on, to not become trapped by our own thoughts. To not get lost, in a sense of misery and desperateness. But instead to accept that those feelings are a natural part of our experience.
We live and we learn, remaining opened to learning is what is important. To see life as ever changing, ever evolving and allow ourselves to be the same!
