I stumbled on sourdough accidentally while cooking for myself. I made dough and forgot it out on the table overnight well into the morning. It smelled a little sour, but not bad, so I decided to fry it into bakes anyway. It rose so nicely and had such an interesting flavor! I know that wasn't the full process, but it got me interested in sourdough. It's such an interesting concept! Spoilage but not really xD Seeing your post, I think I will try making my own starter, finally.
