Happy afternoon, friends of Hive. I greet you with much affection, wishing you well. Today I want to share with you a recipe that I made with the purpose of making my mom happy. I hope you like it.
Hace poco, a mi mamá le dio covid-19. Aunque gracias a Jehová Dios, ya está mejor; aún no ha recuperado el sentido del olfato y del gusto. Esta situación la ha llevado afligirse un poco, porque como la mayoría de las personas mi mamá ama la comida. En vista de que la veía un poco triste, me propuse hacerle un almuerzo delicioso con el propósito de animarle el día y de tratar de que le llegará un poquito el gusto a través de la carne de cochino, ya que esta tiene mucho sabor.
La comida favorita de mi mamá es chuleta de cochino con arroz y ensalada; por lo tanto eso fue lo que le preparé. Esta es una comida sencilla que requiere los siguientes ingredientes:
- 300 g de chuleta de cochino.
- 200 g de arroz.
- 2 tomates.
- 1 cebolla.
- Una ramita de cilantro.
- 1 cucharada de mayonesa.
- 3 dientes de ajos.
- Sal al gusto.
Con estos ingredientes pueden almorzar tres personas.
Recently, my mom got covid-19. Although, thanks to Jehovah God, she is doing better, she has not yet recovered her sense of smell and taste. This situation has made her a little distressed, because like most people, my mother loves food. Since she seemed a little sad, I decided to make her a delicious lunch to cheer up her day and try to give her a little taste through the pork, since it has a lot of flavor.
My mom's favorite meal is pork chop with rice and salad, so that's what I prepared for her. This is a simple meal that requires the following ingredients:
- 300 g pork chop.
- 200 g of rice.
- 2 tomatoes.
- 1 onion.
- A sprig of cilantro.
- 1 spoonful of mayonnaise.
- 3 cloves of garlic.
- Salt to taste.
With these ingredients three people can have lunch.
Lo primero que hice fue lavar el arroz y ponerlo a cocinar. Luego lavé las chuletas y las aderece con sal. Mientras se iba cocinando el arroz, en un sartén que puse con fuego lento, sofreí un poquito de ajo para luego añadir las chuletas.
The first thing I did was to wash the rice and put it to cook. Then I washed the chops and seasoned them with salt. While the rice was cooking, in a skillet that I put on low heat, I fried a little garlic and then added the chops.
Aproxímadamente, cinco minutos después de que coloqué las chuletas en el sartén, añadí un poquito de agua para asegurarme de que la carne quedara bien cocida. Luego esperé y le di la vuelta. La dejé en el sartén hasta que quedara doradita.
About five minutes after I placed the chops in the pan, I added a little water to make sure the meat was cooked through. Then I waited and turned it over. I left it in the pan until it was golden brown.
Mientras que el arroz terminaba de cocinarse y la chuleta también, hice la ensalada rapidito; pique el tomate, la cebolla, el cilantro y luego le añadí sal y mayonesa.
While the rice finished cooking and the chops finished cooking, I made the salad quickly; I chopped the tomato, onion, cilantro and then added salt and mayonnaise.
Una vez que todo estuvo listo, procedí a servirle la comida a mi mamá.
Once everything was ready, I proceeded to serve the food to my mom.
Así quedó el delicioso almuerzo para mi mamá. Se emocionó mucho cuando lo vio, aunque lamentablemente no sintió ningún tipo de sabor, agradeció el gesto de que yo le hubiera realizado algo que le gustara. Seguimos esperando a que mi mamá recupera el sentido del gusto, una vez que le llegue; le voy a preparar nuevamente este almuerzo para que se deleite. Mientras tanto, debo decirles que me sentí feliz por la emoción que vi reflejada en su cara cuando vio el plato servido.
This is how the delicious lunch turned out for my mom. She was very excited when she saw it, although unfortunately she did not feel any kind of taste, she was grateful for the gesture that I had made her something she liked. We are still waiting for my mom to recover her sense of taste, once she gets it, I will prepare this lunch again for her to enjoy. In the meantime, I must tell you that I was happy for the emotion I saw reflected in her face when she saw the dish served.
