Memory always improves taste. And we survive on it.
Take a walk downtown, visit a few shops to look for necessities in a stocked pantry. Also, to see new things to feed the brain.
Every day is never the same, and today I didn't make dinner because I completely ran out of food to cook. So, my husband took me shopping and looking for dinner in the city center.
We passed various cafe or street food locations that we had stopped at. There are some memories that I still remember. About bad food or expensive prices. So, it's better to find a new place to stay. Also, to seek new experiences.
There is a small cafe that is not very conspicuous but is right on the edge of the main road connecting the cities. It was a new cafe that I had never heard of before. So, my husband decided to stop by that place.
As soon as you enter there, there is an outdoor area that looks comfortable. However, I immediately went into the indoor area because there were several visitors smoking in that area.
Entering the indoor area, it looks so aesthetically designed. With a beautiful sofa and beautiful wallpaper as the first center of attention in the cafe.
Oh, I'm happy with that. At that time there were no visitors sitting in the sofa area.
I was excited to take some portraits of myself while waiting for our dinner to come 😊 meanwhile my husband patiently took my portrait 🤣🤣🤣✌️
The indoor part is not too big but quite comfortable. The chairs and tables are kept as minimal as possible. With dominant brown and white colors.
Also, it doesn't have many accessories but still stands out. Like using a miniature deer head. Looks unique.
Stir-fried Rice Noodles
Rice noodles as known as KWETIAU is the type of noodle I like the most. It's not just about the taste and the price is relatively cheap, around $1 per portion in cafes. But also because rice noodles grew up with me in my memory since childhood.
When I was sick, my late mom would make me stir-fried rice noodles. As if it were medicine, this menu would strengthen me.
Also, when I got top of my class at school, my late mom made it
stir-fried rice noodles without me asking. It was a simple gift but cherished forever in my memory.
So, when I'm really confused about what food to order for dinner or lunch at a cafe, I will often order stir-fried rice noodles. Like those noodles are my comfort food.
My order arrived. Looks promising at first. Classic stir-fried rice noodles. No need variation of these noodles.
Sure enough, it tastes pretty good even for $1. With garnishes in the form of fresh cucumber, tomato and lettuce. Those fresh veggies will balance the oil content used for stir-fried rice noodles. In my area, we are used to using those veggies especially cucumber as garnishes for side dishes.
They also use banana leaves to serve stir-fried rice noodles. I appreciate the effort. Looks good!
To end dinner, I used a glass of mango juice. Indeed, it's too sweet because currently I no longer have a sweet taste like before. I don't blame that cafe for this cafe. Everything is good so far. ❤️
Good dinner time in an affordable place. I spent $2 for a person. With a place that is easy to find in the city's connecting area, this cafe is a recommended place to dine out.
Oh, wait. I forgot to say at the beginning. This place was originally devoted to drinking coffee, tea and enjoying dessert. But as time goes by, they also provide main courses for their visitors. The right decision! Well done.
❤️❤️❤️ See you at my next Foodie stories.
