Delicious food gives us comfort especially when it's served hot.
The Baek's Lomi and Barbecue
During rainy season, we are craving for comfort food. Most of the people love to eat noodles soup especially Asian people. They really love noodles soup especially Chinese, Japanese, or Koreans. They feel comfort when they eat hot noodles soup. They're prefer to eat the soup with a lot of green vegetables.
But, when there's a rainy season here in my place. I make homemade noodles soup. I'd prefer to have more cabbages. Also, I added spring onions and soup of fish or pork. I'd tried once making homemade noodles soup with squid. It tastes great.
In Baek's, they have secret seasoning in making their lomi. That's why there are many people have eaten their lomi becasue of their secret recipe in the soup. It tastes really good when you sip the soup.

Filipino Hanging Rice originated from Cebu, Philippines
Hanging Rice was originated in Cebu, Philippines. It is made of wooven coconut leaves which wrapped it into triangular form. There are many styles of making hanging rice. However, the triangular form is common in Cebu. This way of cooking rice is not easy to spoiled. It will last long and it avoids into scorched one.
Mostly at the streets in Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City or other cities or towns in Cebu, they have hanging rice that paired with grilled food or fried food.

How to prepare Barbecue? (My own style)
I tried marinating barbeque before. It tastes really good. I was taught by my mother.
Steps:
Marinate the pork, or any chicken parts except hotdogs, chorizo and longganiza. Do the marinated a night before the sun shines. Place it in the refrigerator. Do not place it in the freezer.
I add toccino mix powder, calamansi, fish sauce, honey, black pepper, garlic and onion. Just add salt a little bit.
In the morning, prepare sticks and the sauce to paste in grilling the barbeque. (Mix the ketchup, soy sauce and calamnsi)
Use charcoals for grilling. Make it sure the barbeque will not charred (blackened).
Note: Don't eat barbeque everyday or any fatty foods. It can cause gallstone as what my mother had before due to eating grilled food almost every day. Just eat barbeque when there's occasion. Always drink cups of water after eating fatty foods but not the cold water. The doctor advised to us when my mother was hospitalised. He added that 8 glasses of water a day is necessary for our good health.
But for me, I only ate barbeque sometimes because I was aware the bad effects on it.
Last month, my close friend had a removal of gallbladder as well because of always eating samgyupsal (Korean barbeque). She only drank few cups of water. That's why always eating fatty food is dangerous to our health.
Anyway, I recommend you all to eat in Baek's at Cansaga, Consolacion, Cebu. You can try their special Lomi soup at the affordable price (45 PHP).
