Hello everyone,
Yesterday I wrote a recipe for pineapple jam which is very important in making nastar cookies. It seems that this makes me even more excited to write the next recipe, which is related to yesterday's recipe. You can see the recipe for pineapple jam at this link.
Everyone agrees that nastar is a type of cookie that has the highest caste compared to other cookies. Different from other types of cookies which are usually filled with chocolate, peanuts and coffee, this type of cookie has a very different sweet and sour taste. That's why nastar cookies are liked by many people because of their unique taste.
I learned to make nastar a long time ago, starting from my fondness for pineapple from a long time ago. I learned a lot online from YouTube and short videos on social media, and I also took a baking class from a famous chef, at that time he was in my city and I insisted on taking his class and saving a lot of money for it.
After learning a lot, I realized that nastar is indeed the prima donna in the world of cookies and it really deserves it. Where nastar does need special attention in making it, because it has to be done with the right technique. Well, I want to share the recipe with you, especially now is the perfect time to learn and make it in preparation for the upcoming Eid.
So, here's the nastar daisy recipe by
Ingredients;
- 300 gr butter wijsman
- 4 egg yolks
- 150 gr refined sugar
- 500 gr low protein flour
- 50 gr cornstarch
- Pineapple jam (recipe; link)
How to make nastar daisy cookies;
- Mix 4 egg yolks, wisjman butter, and powdered sugar. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Then add the sifted flour and cornstarch.
- Mixer again at medium speed for 2 minutes. Then mix all the dough by hand. This is intended so that the nastar does not over mix and result in the nastar breaking easily.
- Make sure the texture of the dough is very soft, if it feels very rough, then add a little butter slowly until the dough is soft.
- Form the pineapple jam into small balls, then take a little dough and roll it using a roller pin. With a thickness of 0.5 cm, then use a flower mold to form nastar similar to a daisy.
- Put the pineapple jam that has been formed right in the middle of the nastar dough, then fold it over the edges of the dough.
- Bake nastar in the oven at 150 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
- Nastar daisy cookies are ready to be served!
See you the next time hive friends!
