
What's the nice thing about your country? Have Disney land like in Tokyo Japan, or get free money from the government (if that's what I want anyway). For me the simple thing that makes me happy in Indonesia is that there are many culinary that can be eaten even when I have no appetite.
Tonight, I somehow arrived wanting to eat something that had a strong taste in the Tongue but I could not find what food I was looking for. Good thing my husband suggested to eat Empek- Empek because the dish has a very special vinegar gravy on the tongue.
Because I was sick, and my husband also lazy to out of the house. I ended up ordering through an online application. The distance from the place of sale to where I live is quite far about 4.5 km and it also makes me have to experience some cancel orders from the delivery
I ordered two types of empek - empek, Pempek Kapal Selamat (Submarine) and lenjer empek empek. For those of you who do not know Empek-empek or also often referred to as pempek, is a typical food of Palembang, South Sumatra. Pempek is made from wheat flour and starch or sago with mackerel mixture which is one of the main ingredients.

As for pempek soup, made from brown sugar added a solution of vinegar or cuko. Then added tamarind, with a certain measure, so that the gravy feels more balanced or nothing tastes more dominant sweet spicy with tamarind java sugar.

Pempek Kapal Selam (submarine) is a variant of pempek favorite of many people. The size is large with a savory chicken egg stuffing firmly in it. Eating 1 serving of submarine pempek can be for adult stomach.
Pempek lenjer has an elongated shape such as cylinder or lenjeran, in Palembang language. It is about 15 centimeters long, about 4 centimeters in diameter.
In its original place in palembang city you can eat pempek at any time even at breakfast but in medan generally new pempek sellers start in the afternoon until the evening.
