Hello friends, how are you? I hope so.
Today I want to share with you a typically Brazilian recipe, the delicious "Farofa de Banana da Terra", an adaptation of the original recipe made by the Indians hundreds of years ago, even before the Portuguese colonization.
The ingredients for this recipe are enough for a portion for up to 4 people and are:
- 250 grams of cassava flour
- 1 small onion cut into small cubes
- 2 very ripe "banana da terra" (a more consistent type of banana)
- 50 grams of bacon cut into small cubes
- parsley
- chives
And here we go.
Step 1:
In a frying pan add 2 tablespoons of butter:
Add the bacon and onion and let it fry a little:
Step 2:
Cut the banana into thin slices and add to the frying pan.
Add also a tablespoon of butter and fry until the butter melts:
Step 3:
Put the cassava flour in the frying pan
And stir well so as not to stick until the flour is a little darker.
Add the parsley and the chives cut very small and after about 2 to 3 minutes it is ready.
It is delicious and goes very well with several meals, especially fish-based meals.
I hope you enjoy it.
