A portion of good food always makes our heart flutter, and I know most of you would agree. There is pleasure in every satisfied taste bud, and it is sometimes worth the money we spend on it. We also tend to remember the best restaurants or fast food chains that delivered delicious meals to us.
I have been in love with Korean foods lately, from their classic ramyeon to barbecue. And the recent years made it more special as samgyeopsal became a trend. Here I am sharing another episode of my stories about how my taste buds achieved happiness and satisfaction.
The weekend special we had from the cinema experience did not stop there. We also had so much fun eating lunch in one of the most popular Korean restaurants in Olongapo City - the Samgyupsalamat.
It is near the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in SBMA. We had to walk for a few minutes before we got there, but the sweats were worth it. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the staff welcomed and entertained us while organizing the table.
Before everything else, they told us to take a seat, and a server took our orders. We chose the unlimited samgyupsal promo, which costs 549 Pesos ($10) per person. While waiting for our table to get ready, we took some pictures. And here's a photo of me and my sister-in-law .
I also took the chance to observe around and saw that only a few people were eating at that moment. And it is maybe because it was around 11:00 AM. The server is wearing a red polo shirt on the left of the photo and is busy preparing our chosen table.
After a few minutes of waiting, they already told us to go to our table so we could start grilling the meat. In addition, my sister-in-law decided on the set of flavors of the meat since she knows them well, and it was our first time. The staff started to serve more side dishes on our table, making us excited to start the feast.
When everything was set, we asked the one who prepared our table to take pictures of us. It was just a small favor, and I am glad they are approachable. We took the chance to capture the moment since we had no idea when will be our next lunch in this fantastic restaurant.
The grilling fun started, and we tried the different flavors simultaneously. I do not remember them one by one, but all of them were tasty and satisfying. Darren had the tong with him, and he started cooking. As you can see, we got plenty of meats on our table, plus the two bowls of cheese made it more exciting.
When we started eating, we tried every flavor of the beef, and it exceeded my expectation because they were too delicious. Since it is a Korean restaurant, various side dishes are also included. And I started checking them out and giving them a try.
Of course, there is a plate of lettuce, kimchi, potato marbles, and japchae. These were the typical side dishes on every Korean table, especially in samgyupsal.
I am unfamiliar with the rest, but I still tasted them. The egg tastes different compared to the regular scrambled egg I had. And I also loved the combination of the meat and the cheese.
The moment of enjoying good food continued for more than an hour, combining laughter and conversations. We had a feast and even tried to share our opinion about the flavors and other side dishes. I suggested the egg, but none of them attempted, while Darren loved Japchae.
It was indeed another episode of my foodie stories left unshared. Sometimes it is good to keep good memories of enjoying good food with your loved ones and family.
