Hi all, here's a simple air-fryer snack recipe you can make for your kids. I got this recipe from my sister because she knew I don't like to cook and always appreciate it when a simple recipe is introduced. I admit that this dish is not the healthiest food choice for the kids so go ahead and judge me for feeding my kiddos such food 😂.
I called this recipe "Mini Air-Fryer Croissant With Sausages". Now, this is not exactly a croissant but I would like to call it that because it does look and taste a bit like a typical croissant (or maybe not but whatever 😆). The "croissant" is made using a "paratha" or Indian flatbread.
Without further ado, let's check out the simple recipe...
❤️ The Ingredients ❤️
- Plain paratha or Indian flatbread. I have no clue how to make paratha from scratch so I used the pre-prepared paratha that is widely sold in supermarkets. I don't know if something similar is available in other countries, but I think you might find this in Asian/Indian supermarkets. Alternatively, if you are good at baking you can make your own flatbread.
- Take a piece of paratha and slice it into 8 pieces exactly like this.
- Cut some sausages. We are going to wrap these sausages in the flatbread.
- Arrange the sausages exactly like in the picture. I realized that the sausages were too long. I should have cut them shorter.
- Take a couple of cheese slices.
- Cut the cheese into 8 pieces. You can cut it diagonally or if you don't want it to be too big, cut them smaller like the one in the second picture.
- Wrap the flatbread gently around the sausages and cheese. I know they don't look pretty but if you are good at baking/cooking you probably can do it better than me 😆
- Next, break one chicken egg in a bowl and beat it. Next, dip the "mini croissants" in the beaten egg. I am sorry that I forgot to take the picture for this step.
- Preheat the air-fryer to 180C for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the "mini croissants" in the rack and set the temperature to 180C and fry for 13 minutes.
- And tadaaaa...the fried "mini croissants". They smell so, so good and yummy! Again, I know they don't look so appetizing in this picture but trust me, it tasted very nice 😁
- My kids gave me their thumbs up as seal of approval 🤣
