Hi Everyone!
This is my first post and I want to share my first try in cooking a steak.
I love meat! So my partner and I decided to try cooking a steak for the first time. We preferred well done steak however, all of the recipes on the internet are for medium rare so we had to improvise.
We baked the seasoned meat for 12 minutes to make sure that the meat is cooked then pan seared with aromatics such as rosemary, thymes, garlic and butter for 1 minute each side. The crust turned out pretty well and it tastes great. For the side, we just sautéed the carrot and corn in butter. Then, took a bottle of sparkling wine for the drink.
BUT, we had a problem, the steak is not as tender as it should be. We've tried well done steak in restaurants and the meat is very tender. But since it was our first time, we still had a great dinner nevertheless.
Do you have any suggestion on how to make a well done steak soft and tender? Any tip will be much appreciated.
