I came upon this foreign snack in the office the other day. The label said Fruit Vegetable and with some Chinese words. I'm no stranger to dried fruits since the Philippines is popular for its dried mangoes. I took a peek inside and I saw a variety of dried food. I grabbed one, took a bite, and I almost broke my tooth. It was really dry and hard! It wasn't like the dried fruit I knew where it's still soft and a bit chewy.
The snack was like chips but made from actual fruits and vegetables. They were seasoned and had a savory flavor. There were purple yam, cucumber, sweet potato, banana, mushroom, dates, and some other fruit or vegetable I don't recognize. My favorite was the mushroom because it tasted like pork rind. My least favorite was the dried dates because it felt like eating a rock.
Have you tried this snack or something similar? I feel like an air fryer may be able to give me these kinds of food. And I hope they're healthy because I ate a lot of them.
