If you're like me, you love to crunch while eating! I am a person who likes texture in my foods; whether the smooth creaminess of ice cream, the chewy feeling of having a candy bar or even the crunch of a potato chip. But when it comes to healthier lifestyle, I still like the crunch and I love yogurt, but sometimes I just need that little bit of that munchie feeling. It's just so satisfying for me.

The other day I was cruising around online and came across a new granola recipe that had me crying out to give it a try. I checked the pantry, had all the ingredients... so while Mr Golden D was at work Saturday morning, I got to work in the kitchen. And this was the result! The half cup of organic honey is just the perfect amount of sweetness, while the cinnamon gives the granola a faultless flavor.

RECIPE
1/2-cup organic honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2-cup coconut oil
3-cups old fashioned rolled oats
1/2-cup each of walnuts and pecans
1/2-cup pumpkin seeds
1/4-cup sunflower seeds
1/2-cup dried cranberries (but you can add any dried fruit of choice)
Optional - 1/3-cup toasted coconut flakes
Directions
- Combine cinnamon, coconut oil and honey; whisk together. Add in rolled oats, nuts and seeds.
- Mix well.
- Spread mixture on a parchment lined cookie or baking sheet evenly.
- Bake 20 minutes and stir after 10 minutes.
- Once out of the oven, stir in dried fruit and/or coconut flakes.
- Let cool and store in an airtight container. Refrigerate if desired.
Eat as a cereal with your favorite milk/dairy product or in yogurt.
