Met my high school friend who flew over from Sarawak which is another part of Malaysia to attend her Masters degree graduation in Radiology. I could not make it for her ceremony which was yesterday but we manage to arrange time to meet up today for a meal or two.
Known her for more than 20 years when we attended primary school together but we were not close till high school and got even closer recent years. She is my doctor friend whom I go to whenever I need medical advices too. She has helped me a lot in enquiring for my family whenever any of us is admitted or even when I went for certain checks so we get to know our results a bit quicker than usual. Hence this is one very helpful friend whom I appreciate a lot.
I must celebrate her graduation with her no matter what!
Today we went to this place called Strangers at Forty7, opened by my another friend's brother's best friend. I went to this once when it was first opened 7 years ago and it is so happened my friend's favorite cafe to have brunch.
So we booked a slot at 10am and did ask another friend to join but he could not make it. The place has renovated a bit and it has changed to be more minimalistic than I could remember it for. It now looks very classy and elegant. Love how it is now with not much decorations yet its food is still at premium quality!
This is how it looks like from the interior:
There is also an outdoor area for those who smokes or some who want to sit outdoor at a place like a patio.
I have to say I very like the toilet design ahahah. It looks so clean and tidy.
They upload their menu in PDF form to a site. So we can browse without a physical menu and it is paperless. I think this is really good. Here are some screenshots of their menu:
I have tasted their sweet crepes before. They were very nice.
Anyway, here is the food.
My friend and I ordered the exact same food which is the BCC (Big Breakfast Crepe). It was soooo GOOD!!! We can choose either a scrambled egg or a sunny side up, served with a wholemeal crepe, sauteed mushrooms, spinach, roasted ham, hashbrown, chicken and herbs sausage and a super flavourful baked beans dipping sauce.
I don't like baked beans but I super love this as they spiced it up. I loved my Big Breakfast so much that while my friend was non-stop talking, I was non stop eating.
I ordered an iced Mint Chocolate which I love so much too.
My friend ordered some latte for herself.
What a satisfying meal! Really makes me want to return here soon to have another round. Yes, it was THAAAT good! Really love this place for its simple ambience and food!
