Today is date day for my husband and I but it is also errands day as we need to get some postponed things done!
There are some things we have to look into like income tax and also replacing a spare part for a bed so we set off to get things done today.
We went IKEA after a long time not visiting it and I do plan to write about it but that will be in another post. Today I want to write about the IKEA food!!!!
I have not eaten in IKEA for the longest time, maybe 5 years perhaps. The husband misses their food and I thought I did not but boy I was wrong!
So we hit their restaurant at lunch hour and there was already quite a crowd. The mall was rather empty as it is probably a weekday but I guess the people came here instead.
We queued up and equipped our trolley with trays.
Then we saw this. We thought this was some almond milk but it was actually drinking water!
Look at the variety of food they have.
I was thinking of their sweet desserts at first but I didn't take any cos the other food attracted me even more, oops!
Caesar salad counter
Grava Lax!!! MY UTMOST FAVORITE! I took this, gladly!
The famous IKEA meatballs!
Chicken with some vegetables
Chicken wings! Yes could not resist!
Vegetables Medallion and Sausage
After paying at the cashier, we found a good seat further away and yes it is time to dig in!
Grava Lax is cured raw salmon slices with dill, served with some corals and a super delicious sweet mustard sauce for dipping.
I admit I was a bit skeptical why it would taste nice with mustard but it was very good!
The meatballs were the bomb! Soft and tender and paired with their lingoberry and brown sauce, PERFECTO!
Surprisingly the sausage was really good too, smoky and flavourful! This was definitely a good find!
Happy with the meal!!!
Here are some photos of how the dining area looks like.
There was even a small ice-cream cart next to my table but too bad it was not open.

After we finish picking some a few items from IKEA, we went down to their bistro too which was at another floor! Hahaha cos I was thinking of their ice-cream.
Here is some of their menu and there was a line queueing up to the cashier too.
I joined the queue to pick up a soya ice-cream cone and a frozen yogurt.
Then I headed to the ice-cream auto dispenser and used their tokens to get my frozen yogurt and ice cream.
Well I remember they tasted better but it might be because I was rather full already hehe.
That was nice visiting a place that I haven't been for a long time and a good meal eaten in peace (as the chidlren did not tag along hahahahah). Missing me boys but sometimes quality time with the husband is needed too! Am thankful we could run some errands today especially more preps for the son before starting school especially on masks and supplements purchase. Also taking my mind off from being anxious over my mum's thryoid gland removal surgery tomorrow.
