Yes, Batagor is an extension of Tofu meatball in fried, this snack comes from the City of Bandung, West Java and is already well know in the Indonesian or chipelago.
But the existence of Batagor in a reas such as in the City of Sukabumi batagor is varied with other ingredients such as the contents of batagor filled with shrimp mixed with aci flour and then fried.
We meet many batagor trader in various Cities, like me trying to stop by to buy batagor sold on the road side. This snack can be eaten for breakfast,or eaten for a snack after the main meal.
The batagor is sold can be eaten on the spot or can be wrapped, various batagor ingredient, such as tofu staffed with shrimp and aci flour that have been processed and fried. Pangsit skin filled with aci flour and shrimp then fried,there are cucumbers,kupat,boiled eggs, fried potatoes and batagor seasoning made from roasted peanuts,garlic,brown sugar, tamarind,mixed into peanut sauce.
How to serve it step
Step , prepare a plate,add tofu pieces,potato pieces,pangsit skin pieces,all fried. Put is kupat pieces made from rice,and the toping is sprinkled with peanut sauce.
Given this sauce for those who like it, the taste of batagor is delicious,tasty and savory. As traditional food and the price of batagor for one portion is IDR 15.000,- or 1 US Dollar.
