Sweet Martabak cake is a typical food from Bangka Belitung Island,wich look created by Resident of Chinese the original name of this food is Hok lo Pan.
Later know as moonligh cake becsuse of its round shape and yellow color. This cake is much liked by the people of Indonesia. There are two types of Martabak cakes, namely the sweet martabak cake and the salty martabak or called egg martabak.
This one food Martabak cake is not foreign to Indonesia and is sold from Cities to village, are people enjoy it. The taste is delicious and the price is affordable.
There are two types of sweet martabak sold,the big martabak or mini martabak. I will try to make a small type of Martabak and the ingredients are also few because it is consumed by the family.
As for making martabak cake the ingredient are like,
- 250 grams of flour
- 2 tablespoon of sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon in yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 200 warm water.
Step in the process of making martabak.
Step 1, make a dough from flour,sugar,salt and instant yeast,then stir with normal tools.
Step 2, before the dough is well mixed,add warm water add continue to stir until all ingredient are evenly mixed. Then cover the dough using plastic for about 1 hour.
Step 3, add baking soda,egg and vanilla, in the mixture stir again.
Step 4, prepare the mold over medium heat,and pour the mixture one tablespoon of vegetables, waiting for the dough to start to explade,and then fill the topping with mases,cheese, condensed milk,wait for it to cook and remove the ready to serve Mini Martabak.
