In Indonesia because there are many Islands this traditional food will also be different the way it is made and especially the name. Because I live in West Java,the name Rujak uleg is familiar.
This food is traditional food and we can easy find it on the Roadside, in the village or sold by cart. the ingredients for making this rujak uleg are also easy to buy in traditional market.
The usual fruits for making rujak uleg,are,
- Pineapple, mango, yam guava,papaya,star fruit,swest potato, kedondong fruit.
As for the spices to make rujak uleg like peanuts that have been mixed with sugar,brown sugar,a little salt, cayenne pepper is an option if you like spicy and the way to make it is simple.
The process of making rujak uleg
Step 1, input cayenne pepper according to taste,add salt to taste then knead,
Step 2, add peanut sauce that has been mixed with 40 grams of brown sugar,then knead,then add 40 grams of brown sugar and knead again,add enough boiled water,knead again.
Step 3, add fruits such as pineapple, yam,guava,mango,star fruit,sweet potato, all the fruit in then slices,then stir,so that the fruit. After the that put it on a plate and ready to serve rujak uleg.
