Greetings dear friends, welcome to my blog. Today I am once again joining the weekly contest Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Chocolate. This week, I decided to make a simple, no-bake dessert, since my oven has been broken for quite some time. I had bought a silicone mold for making cupcakes in the microwave, but after one failed attempt, it ended up sitting in the kitchen cabinet—until today.
I used this silicone mold for this week’s dessert; I had all the ingredients at home: cornstarch, milk, vanilla, sugar, and, of course, chocolate. The shape of the mold gave me the idea to make some little chocolate bells topped with chocolate sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1½ cups water
- 6 tablespoons powdered milk
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Chocolate Rain to taste
- Sugar to taste
Preparation
1.- Add the powdered milk to the 1½ cups of water and mix with a hand whisk until smooth.
2.- Add the cocoa powder to the milk and beat again using the same kitchen utensil.
3.- Add the vanilla, cornstarch, and sugar to taste, and beat again until the ingredients are well combined. Then, place the pot over medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens from a liquid to a paste-like consistency. It’s time to turn off the heat.
4.-. Carefully spoon the chocolate batter into each of the silicone molds using a teaspoon. With this amount of ingredients, we made 4 servings.
5.-. Chill for about 4 hours. Then, remove from the mold and immediately decorate with chocolate shavings.
Here's how the mini chocolate bells turned out.
I hope you liked it, this has been my participation in Hive Top Chef competition. See you another time.
