Namaste🙏 Dear Friends, After a long time i am here with Fish curry recipe, this fish is from our pond and whenever we go to our village house, we catch fish with the help of fisherman. We generaly makeing fish must use mustard seed paste to make it, now question is how? you will see in this post, so read this post..
I took lots of images but due to low light most of the images havnt proper light.
Fresh water fish’s taste is amazing and whenever we are going to market for purchase fish, always trying to take bigger fish to get best taste. But this time i am sharing small fish is looking in small size, this fish is called REVA and this is bigger in size, i mean this fish grow max 100g to 200g.
Preparation of Fish Curry in village style
Quantities of items….
Fish 1KG :- Whole size pieces/10-15 nos
Onion mid-size 4 pieces
Garlic 3-4 pieces+ one small size Ginger
2 Piece tomato
one small cup mustard seed
Mustard Oil
Salt (As per taste)
Turmeric powder/ coriander powder/ red chili powder/ cumin powder/ garam masala powder
Three four red chilies, one tablespoon cumin seeds & Three-four bay leaves (Tejpatta)
Preparation Method: -
First step: -
First we grind all the raw items like tomato, garlic, ginger, also add some water.
Second We make a paste of all masala powders with the help of water.
Third Last for gravy preparation, we grind the Mustard seed and add water on it keep it watery.
Second step:-
Whenever we come with fish and after cleaning it we mix turmeric over it, but when we ready for fry than mix small amount of salt and ginger garlic paste over fish.
Third step:-
Here we fry the fish with the help of mustard oil or you can choose any cooking oil as per your taste. Remember fry fish till it became light brown color. Now your fish fry is ready and can have it with rice or without rice.
Curry Preparation
First
Take cooking oil on pan and after getting oil heat add bay leaves+ cumin seeds + red chili , now fry it for 2-3 min and when cumin seed sound crackle.
Second
You now add all paste except mustard seed paste and fry it till it get golden brown color, you can also add first garlic, onion
& ginger paste and 2-3 min later add masala paste on it and fry.
Third
Now add water in it and mustard seed paste also, mix it with water which we pour for tari purpose. Now we can add salt as per quantity of fish or taste.
In every fish curry recipe where using mustard seed paste, please don’t fry it. If you will fry it became bitter taste.
Final
When water will boiled add all the fried fish on it and wait for 10-15 min. now your fish curry is ready to have with bread or rice.
