" Enticing but a Little Disappoinment "
How are you Hiver, hoping you have a good day today. Because in this blog I will hype again your appetite for our Dinner experience in one Unlimited Japanese Barbeque Restaurant in Cebu, The SUMO NIKO restaurant. With unlimited Mozzarella Cheese on the table that I really really Love,
The Sumo Niku Restaurant
The restaurant offers Japanese barbeque cuisine. They already have 23 satellite branches in the Philippines. The branch of Sumo Niko we've tried was in Central block Ayala Cebu Philippines, It is located on the lower ground of the Mall in front of IT- PARK Bus Terminal. The place is cozy, It has a dominant color design of Black and yellow. The place is not so spacious but it has a lot of tables and chairs that are ready to accommodate you.
The package of their Unlimited barbecue cost Php 549 or 10$ only per person. It a quite a good price for the unlimited restaurant and looking at the package inclusion on the signage drive to taste them all.

- 4 kinds of marinated Beef
- 2 kinds of marinated chicken
- 2 kinds of seafood
- unlimited rice
- unlimited side dish
- unlimited soup
- unlimited mozzarella cheese
Dinner Time
Kim and Clara were already inside when I arrive.When entering the restaurant I was excited to taste it but apparently when I about to sit I observe something off with Clara and Kim. I ask them what was wrong and they told me they are already disappointed about what happened earlier.
As per the two, the first serving they have is just a few, less meat, fewer sides, and less cheese. The amount they have in the first serving is not worth it for the Unlimited restaurant. So they verify the personnel if it is already the serving, Good that the staff says that they can ask more if they want. But, they reminded them that they can only stay on the table for the unlimited packages in the span of 3 hours only and pay for the left over's. It's already a long time for a kind of meal but it's kind of frustrating cause instead of enjoying the meal and the food you will be conscious of the time. Because if you will exceed that time you pay another 10$.(Pressure eating is real).
The second serving arrive a few minutes after I sit down, this time, they were a lot more than the first one. Our table space was compromised. (the two seem good now for what they saw on the table). On the serving theirs a lot of different marinated meat though the sides were fewer than I expect, I'm still good cause they bring more mozzarella cheese. They look yummy so I started to grill them after each other.
When they all Cooked "It's time to eat". I first try the different marinated pork, They are 7 kinds but I can't identify them differently, I don't know but the taste is something flat. I just ignore first and then try the beef, I don't taste also the marinated flavor. (I'm a little worried this time cause I think i have a problem with my taste buds that day). So I ask Clara if she taste the marinated flavor of the meat, then she laugh silently and told me the taste is plain. Then I say Okay sarcastically 😅. I did is, I drip it completely in mozzarella cheese to taste it better.
But, I love their chicken, I can't Identify the flavor but it tastes good. It is one of my favorites so far on the package, cause I order more chicken afterward 😅. sorry, another negative thought, the serving that time is too long, I think they are understaffed at that time. Hoping the management will see that.
Importantly, our stomachs are full at the end of the meal (especially me cause I finish up the reaming meat 😅), and still blessed to try the kind of food they have.

is long overdue, it happened last November 2022, and It has been in my draft for too long, but I still believe that this moment with these amazing people at this table is worth it to share on its platform, cause you know guys how amazing these peps are. (by the way, Clara already write a review on this restaurant but let me share you mine)
I'm just an invite to this Dinner actually, It is the time when Clara Coming back to Cebu City after deciding to live in her igloo in her province for 4-5 months, (not sure of the duration time hahaha), The sure is it been a long time since the last Face to face catch-up with this people. And I'm happy they invited me to this Dinner and looking forward to more moments with them like this.
