Hello everyone and all members of Foodies Be Hive Community, how are you today? I hope and pray that all of us are always healthy and happy in carrying out all these jobs and routines. As I often say, the easy way to find happiness is to eat delicious and delicious food. Like this time, I continue my adventure looking for delicious and tasty food around my city.
A few days ago, when I was returning home from seeing a hydroponic installation from my customer. I took my wife to go. My condition at that time was very hungry and I just realized that I had not eaten lunch, even though it was 3 pm. Finally, I saw a satay stall by the side of the road and stopped by.
Bang War Satay Outlet
I stopped at the Bang War satay stall. The location of this satay outlet is located on Jl. A.H Nasution no. 14 Pangkalan Masyhur Village, Medan Johor District. The location is very strategic, because it is on the edge of the highway and only about 100 meters from Mitra Medika Hospital. In addition, many government offices are located around the street.
This satay outlet is very simple. From the front, we can see that there are two carts with hundreds of skewers arranged neatly. We can also see a place to burn satay in front of the cart. The smell of meat and onions greeted my arrival and made my stomach even more hungry.
Mutton Satay
There are two choices of food menus that we can order, namely Boiled Noodles and Sate with Peanut Seasoning. For satay, they have several choices of meat, namely chicken, mutton and beef. I ordered a serving of goat satay with rice cake.
No need to wait long, my order was delivered to my table. Sate is a food made from meat that is cut into small pieces, then stabbed into a stick made of bamboo or coconut leaf bones. Sate is a very popular food in Indonesia, and all regions in Indonesia have their own characteristics and uniqueness. Call it, Sate Matang (Aceh), Sate Padang (Minang Kabau), Sate Madura, Sate Klatak etc.
Sate with peanut sauce, can be said to be the most common type of satay and we can easily get. I immediately tried this satay. I ordered mutton satay, usually mutton has a bad smell if the mutton is not processed properly. For this mutton satay, I don't smell that aroma and it seems they process the meat really well.
Before I eat this satay. I added lime juice and a little chili sauce. For some reason, I often add lime juice to food, I find it tastier and fresher. I eat this goat satay voraciously. The goat meat from this satay is very soft, and melts in my mouth. I don't need to bite the meat much. In addition, it seems that the mutton has been seasoned with spices and soaked with pineapple to get a softer texture. The mutton pieces are also large and completely using mutton with very little fat. The peanut sauce used also penetrates perfectly into the satay. The savory and sweet taste of peanut sauce creates a variety of flavors and
Price
For the price of a serving of goat satay I paid around IDR 25K or approx (1.8 USD). The price is not too expensive and still reasonable in Indonesia.
