This is called cake (Apam), the Indonesian language is surabi, in Pidie itself the making of Apam cake has become a custom and tradition for generations. The making of this "Apam" cake is usually done simultaneously by all Pidie people during the month of Rajab. Or better known as the moon (Apam)
Well, the unique thing is that Apam is only made once a year. And made by heating. Until the bottom of the cake is a little hard. For heating this cake, it does not require a big fire, usually the Pidie Community will use firewood for the process of making the Apam cake. So that the aroma and traditional characteristics do not fade.
