Burrito Vs Wraps !
You might think that is chicken wraps but that is not. That is a chicken burrito. Apparently, there is a difference between a wrap and a burrito. There are some key differences but the noticeable ones are the differences in the filling inside of it. However, based on arguments online, many said about its serving time becoming another key to differentiate between the two. And among many of these explanations and arguments that try to pinpoint its differences, this one from Elpasony helps me understand it better burrito vs wrap. But to me, burritos are clearly different from chicken wraps considering the fillings inside of it.
Burrito has beans and wrap doesn’t and some more other ingredients that a wrap would not have. That is my understanding when it is compared to the common wraps that are served here among international fast food chains in Indonesia.
Additionally, whenever I make wraps, I also never close it compared to when I make burrito. You can also see the differences from these icons below that shows the difference in presentation. Another thing that I notice from a burrito is the salsa inside of it which unlike wraps, it doesn’t exist and the spices is just different. If any of you is either from Mexico and maybe Texas, you can correct me if I am wrong about my understanding of burritos.

Mexican and Tex-mex food is getting more recognition here and it’s very common to find nachos, tortilla, chimichanga, fajitas and more. I got tired of eating either Japanese or Korean meals so I decided to find something new. I laid my eyes on Mexican food since it has been about a few months I had a burrito. So, I decided to get a burrito from a place called tacobis which served the best burrito and taco in town. By the best, I mean it is really good and filling at a fair price.
Many restaurants are also selling burritos but I only trust this palace because it is only selling burritos and tacos plus they are good at it too. Strangely though, I have never visited their place as I always order them online.
They have a variety of choices of the sauce for the burrito. I don’t really have my favorites but I like mushroom and sour mayo. So inside of this burrito, you can choose either chicken or beef. Then it has the base sauce, crispy onion ring, lettuce, cheese, fries instead of rice and the sauce that you picked. Sometimes I also added extra egg and cheese inside of it. The food is always delivered hot and fresh. I remembered when the quarantine started, it even had the temperature of the person who cooked the burrito and they had a good packaging. But now, the packaging is normal and there’s no more temperature for the people who cook my food. As in the packaging mentioned they do not attempt to be the “authentic” experience of Mexican food. Instead, they are going with fusion. The packaging also said “ this is not a Mexican Food, we’re experimental Food” along with a motto below it that says “ anything this good should be illegal”

I also get addicted to it again as I have moved on from my bagel addiction. I always have something going on with bread, wraps, and non-rice cuisine. I love them and it’s easy to get addicted to it. I can eat burritos, bagels, and sandwiches all day and call them a full course meal. I can sustain myself just by eating a flour based meal. But obviously, life without a variety of food is boring, which is why I decided to always try something new, something different, to exercise my palates and eventually learn to cook it myself.
Once again, if you want to correct my understanding of burrito vs wraps, you can also leave a comment below. As in, what do you think is the difference between burrito vs wraps?
