As much as I love food, I don't normally be that adventurous. I like my own homemade food or low seasoned food most of the time. And sometimes I eat the same food everyday even if it's takeaway, it may be boring but I like certainty and knowing how much calories I eat in a day. But since I am feeling a bit adventurous these days, why not try different food out of the blue?
Generally, I also don't eat food from a place rated below 4.5 because from many of my experiences, they suck. But there are some food like this one I am trying doesn't have that much of options.
It was my first time trying pide. Someone told me it looks like vagina and well, that grosses me out already but since I am curious, why not give it a go instead eating kebab?
The pide I was eating season too lightly and too cheesy. The beef, cheese and the sauce don't blend that well. I felt as though I was going to have an instant heart-attack especially afterwards, I had a strong coffee. Learned my lesson, never eat beef, cheese and coffee at the same day.
The backlava nest was quite expensive. It screams diabetes when I tasted it. I don't generally eat too much sweet and so, backlava is definitely not something I'd eat again at least from that place.
Thus far, I have not found any good middle-eastern food around here. It was either giving me instant bowel movements or heart-attack feeling. But I did found nice middle-eastern food back in Malaysia. It was healthier than something I'd eat around here.
I feel like those good 2.38$ was better spent on a soft pretzel or small portion of pan-seared fish. But at least, I can say I have tasted pide and backlava, not a good one obviously. Mac
