The other day, I have mentioned that I am switching my carbs to healthier options. I got 2kg of red rice and whole what pasta (I don't recommend this one). I read that red rice has more fiber and lesser calorie. Everyone generally said it's for weight loss though well, they never give me the WHY. I deep dived and found the reason why it may aid weight loss and lowering the sugar intake.
Another thing I tried is buying mix grains called KONGBAB. At first, I thought this brand was mixed rice seeds. It turns out, it was filled with various grains such as Chia seeds and sesame seeds. Despite the price that is more expensive than white rice, red rice lasts longer and makes you feel fuller even with little portion.
Today, since I am back to track my calorie and what I eat, I had oatmeal with a piece of biscuit, red rice, chicken and egg, Previously, I try to have it with vegetables. Generally red rice goes well with everything. So, if you are currently going through a weight loss journey, red rice may be your option to replace white rice. Sure, the taste is way different but you will get use to it quite fast. Anything to shed that 5 extra pounds really.
Earlier, I mentioned I don't recommend wholewheat pasta mainly because the taste. It tasted strange and way different from regular pasta. So, I think it's better to think twice before ever buying that type of pasta.
