- 3 Tazas de harina de trigo/ 3 Cups of wheat flour.
- 1 Taza de azúcar/ 1 Cup sugar.
- 3/4 Tazas de cacao en polvo/ 3/4 Cups cocoa powder.
- 1 1/4 Taza de Leche Líquida/ 1 1/4 Cups of liquid milk.
- 1/2 Taza de aceite/ 1/2 Cup oil.
- 2 Huevos/ 2 Eggs.
- 1/2 Cucharadita de polvo de hornear/ 1/2 Teaspoon baking powder.
- 1 Cucharadita de canela en polvo/ 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
- 1 Cucharada de Licor de Café/ 1 Teaspoon of coffee liqueur.
Ingredientes para la crema de chocolate/ Ingredients for the chocolate cream.🍫
- 1 Taza de agua/ 1 Cup of water.
- 3/4 Tazas de azúcar/ 3/4 Cups of sugar.
- 6 Cucharadas de cacao/ 6 Tablespoons cocoa.
- 3 Cucharadas de harina de trigo/ 3 Tablespoons of wheat flour.
- 2 Cucharadas de aceite/ 2 Tablespoons of oil.
- 1 Cucharadita de canela en polvo/ 1 Teaspoon of powdered cinnamon.
- 1 Cucharada de Licor de café/ 1 Tablespoons of coffee liqueur.
Para decorar: Gotas de chocolate bitter, gotas de chocolate blanco y lluvia de chocolate/ To decorate: bitter chocolate drops, white chocolate drops and chocolate rain.
Preparación del Pastel / Cake Preparation. 👩🏼🍳🎂
Primer paso/ First Step. 👩🏼🍳
We start by combining all the solid ingredients in a bowl, we will add the sifted wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and cocoa powder, then the sugar and we will mix very well until all the ingredients are integrated.
Segundo paso/ Second step. 👩🏼🍳
Now in a bowl we are going to mix the liquid ingredients, add the milk, coffee liqueur, oil and mix until integrated.
Tercer paso/ Third step.👩🏼🍳
Next we are going to make a volcano in the center of the solid ingredients and we are going to incorporate little by little the liquid mixture and alternate with the eggs, mix with enveloping movements until we integrate and achieve a homogeneous mixture.
In this case I made the cake beating by hand but you can use an electric mixer if you prefer.
Cuarto paso/ Fourth step.👩🏼🍳
Now we are going to add the mixture in a previously greased and floured cake pan, we are going to let it cook in the oven for approximately 45 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
To verify that the cake is ready we can prick it with a toothpick and if it comes out completely clean it is ready, if not let it cook a few more minutes and repeat the toothpick test until it comes out clean.
Seguidamente retiramos el pastel del horno y dejamos reposar, cuando esté a temperatura ambiente desmoldamos y reservamos.
Then remove the cake from the oven and let it rest, when it is at room temperature, remove from the mold and set aside.
Preparación de la crema de chocolate / Preparation of the chocolate cream. 🍫👩🏼🍳
In a pot we are going to add all the ingredients: water, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, wheat flour, oil and coffee liqueur, then with the help of a whisk we are going to mix until integrating.
Then we are going to cook this mixture over low heat until the consistency reaches the desired thickness. Remove from the fire and proceed to fill and cover the cake.
Ensamblaje del pastel/ Cake assembly👩🏼🍳🎂🍫
Primero dividimos el pastel en mitades iguales y cortamos los pedazos sobresalientes para nivelarlo. Seguido procedemos a agregar una capa de crema de chocolate sobre la capa inferior y esparcimos hasta cubrirla por completo. Luego colocamos la capa superior del pastel y agregramos el resto de la crema, con la ayuda de una espátula o cuchillo esparcimos para cubrir todo ala capa superior y también los bordes del pastel.
Now that we have the chocolate cream and chocolate cake ready, let's proceed to fill and cover it 😋.
First we divide the cake into equal halves and cut the overhanging pieces to level it. Then we proceed to add a layer of chocolate cream on top of the bottom layer and spread it until it is completely covered. Then we place the top layer of the cake and add the rest of the cream, with the help of a spatula or knife we spread to cover the entire top layer and also the edges of the cake.
