This afternoon, for lunch, I chose to try Moi Moi (beans pudding), one of the most recognized Nigerian cuisines.
Moi Moi is a Nigerian cuisine that consists of steamed ground beans and spices.
Moi Moi (Beans Pudding) is a popular dessert eaten at parties, weddings, and other celebrations.
Moi Moi is usually eaten as a stand-alone meal, but it's also popular with other Nigerian foods including custard, fried rice, boiled white rice and stew, Jollof rice, and many others.
This delightful dish can be made in a number of different ways. The most common way is to cook Moi Moi in small nylon or cans, Aluminium Foil Bags, small nylons or cups, Banana Leaves.
The ingredients
Beans
Sardine
Eggs
Crayfish
Red Pepper and Onions
Maggi and Salt to taste
The steps are very easy and straightforward
Step 1: Wash and clean the beans then add the red pepper and onions blend it till it become a paste.
Step 2: Pour the beans paste in a big bowl, add the magi and salt and stir together completely.
Step 3: This is the important part, take out the sardine and add it to the paste, then the crayfish and fried fish should be cut into piece and add to the paste the stir together again.
Step 4: Just crack the eggs and pour into the paste and stir together. Now pour the paste inside a small soft nylon, you can as well as use the sardine can or any other can. After that Place a pot on a medium heat and boil some water, gently arrange it inside the boiling water and allow it cook for some minutes keep checking and adding water to avoid burnt.
Step 5: Now turn off the heat, then remove the pot and unwrap the Moi-Moi from the nylon and can then enjoy with any chilled drink, but in my own case I’ll be enjoying with Garr, sugar and cold water.
