Today I am going to share my own hand made Khichdi with you you all .As I have told you guys in sum of my previous blogs that at present time my family are not with me because they went to attend some family function then I have to cook my own food.And this is such a dish that I prepare very easily and it is ready very quickly.Lentils have also been used in this, so it can also be said that it is also good in terms of protein.
Let's have a look on the basic ingredients which is necessary for making the super fast mix rice
- Chilli
- Tomato
- Potato
- Onion
- Turmeric Powder
- Garam Masala
- Chana and Arhar Mix Dal
- Salt
- Water
- Cumin
First you have Wash all the vegetables you are using thoroughly and cut tomatoes, peppers, onions and potatoes into small pieces.As you can see in the pictures shown above
After that you can use any oil according to your taste in any vessel, whether it is mustard oil or soybean oil or ghee.and let it heat on low flame
When the oil is heated well, then you have to put some cumin seeds in the vessel and keep stirring it till it becomes light red.
After that we have to put the chopped onion in the pot and keep it going till it becomes light red.
After that you put the chopped tomatoes in the pot and stir it until the diced tomatoes are well melted
After that whatever ingredients are left in your plate like chopped potatoes or chopped chilies, you can put them both together in the pot.And after stirring it for a while you can do further processing I did not have any green vegetables at the time when I was making khichdi, if you have them available then you can also use those vegetables.
Now you can put turmeric salt and garam masala according to your taste in the pot and after adding these three things mix it well.And let it cook on low heat for a while its Almost done here
Now you have to take equal quantity of rice and lentils and wash them thoroughly with water and put them in this container.After all the things are in the container, you can move it a little with the help of a spoon and put the lid of the container on it.
Now after doing all this work, you have to do only one thing, wait till the cooker or cantainer make the sound of air pressure release 4 times and after that turn it off.
Now your mixed rice is ready, you can take it out in any plate and eat it with great love. Firstly, it is very easy to digest.And because we can also use pulses and different types of vegetables in it, then it is a block protein.With whom I also cut a ripe mango to enhance the taste which you can see in my plate.Yes, I also believe that if this food was made by my mother, then the taste of eating it would have been very different and delicious.But I was also satisfied with the food I prepared myself as I tried it for the second time and the the taste was very good.It is said that when you are hungry, whatever food is given to you, it tastes good to you.There was a similar situation with me too, being lazy since morning, I cooked this food at around 3:00 in the evening.
