A little over a month ago, I was invited at a Food Blogger’s Meet at Kaffeine Hub, Mangalore, India (no, I did not spell caffeine wrong). My blogger friends and I were all busy shooting sandwiches on the table, when this stunner was placed before us. It sure looked exceptionally attractive. Oh and it is named so aptly – ‘THE LORD OF BURGERS’ and is priced at Rs.449 ($6.11) which was pretty good for the quantity. It had nuggets, meat cutlets, bell peppers, greens, French fries and more. But I had just one question in mind- “How am I gonna eat this as a burger and NOT like a salad.”
Of course, we ended up breaking the burger’s components to be able to fit it in our mouths and indirectly inflicting an existential crisis on the poor burger. But is there another way out sigh..
Well, this wasn’t the first time I had to work on eating a burger.
Here’s a picture of the ‘SHAWARMA BURGER’ at Drnk Lab, Mangalore, India (no, I did not miss the ‘i’). This one is priced Rs.750 ($10.21). The name gives it out – this was intended to be a Chicken Shawarma in disguise, although it did not really taste anything like one.

It was a pack of Chicken Steak, Cheese-filled Meatballs, Mayonnaise and Cheese toppling - all mounted on a slice of pineapple served along with French fries, bell peppers and sliced carrots. The meatballs were delicious and my favorite part of the treat.
