I am going to share my recipe of Djuvec(đuveč) a meal popular in southeastern countries of Europe especially in Serbia.There are many different recipes but the taste is similar.I prepared it for today's lunch and my children were happy eating it after their school and the kindergarten.
Here Is how I prepare it.You will need mixture of vegetables for Djuvec,you can buy it frozen or fresh ,so if you buy some fresh vegetable you will need more time for cutting it,but it Is better if you can.Vegetables for the Djuvec always consist of carrot,pepper,tomato,onion,green beans and peas.I also added one potato.
Cut the onion and put in the pan.Fry it in the oil for a minute.After that add meat.I added pork meat.You can fry onion and meat together about five minutes.
You can use beef,chicken or pork meat and today I used pork meat.And the important ingrediant Is also rice(I forgot to mention it at the beginning).
Add the mixture of vegetables after five minutes of frying meat and onion.
Add about 100 gr rice
Add water,salt and put it in the hot oven.
After 30 minutes the tasty meal Is ready and it Is really delicious.
We enjoyed in today's lunch.
