I know Valentine's Day was long gone... on that day, mama and I were teasing papa because he didn't buy us any sweets and he didn't have any plans on going out to buy some. It wasn't a big deal, of course. We were just making fun of him until he's a bit annoyed. Yes, mama and I are papa's personal bullies! haha
It was his schedule to buy some groceries this week and guess what? He bought a bunch of sweets and snacks!!!
He went to Daiso (a 100-yen shop from Japan) to buy some stuff we usually use at home such as dish-washing liquids, hand soap and paper towels. We usually buy these stuff there because the products are very good and are actually cheaper than in the supermarket. In addition, we usually purchase some doggy treats for Arashi there as well since he loves them. Papa also buy us some snacks from Daiso but this time, he went out of his way and bought more than usual. haha
Even if Daiso is a Japanese shop, they also sell products from other Asian countries. Fullo Bitz is from Indonesia, I think. It's a bite size wafer stick and is really yummy. This was the second time papa bought it for us. I really enjoyed it the first time because they're yummy and easy to eat. The package also has a lot of wafer sticks so I could share it with the kids here.
"Kinoko no Yama" is actually one of my favorites. I remember the first person who gave me this snack was my ex-special guy. hahah Since then, I've been into this snack, but I couldn't buy this easily back then. But now, Daiso is available in our area... as long as they have stock, I can get it anytime. They're also bite-size and very yummy. They're not very sweet, so I like it. And the cute mushroom design is so cute. haha
Based on the picture above, can you guess what kind of chocolate I like? haha
Yes, it's black or dark chocolates. I don't really like very sweet chocolates though I don't refuse them. haha But I really prefer dark chocolates. Maybe 70-75% would be great. I remember my bestie giving me a chocolate bar which was 80-90%, but I still ate them (was a bit bitter for me, I felt drunk after eating.. haha). My mama and papa couldn't take its bitterness, though, so I ate it myself.
Mama likes milk chocolates, but prefers very sweet ones like Cadbury, Toblerone, Lindt, etc. Japanese chocolates aren't very sweet, but she likes Almond and Macadamia chocolates which are also from Meiji.
Lastly, we got these babies. They're yogurt style jellies. Mama had a craving for this since it's becoming warmer and warmer every day. Well, we have some ice cream available anytime in our small store, but mama wanted something different. lol Good thing, this is available in Daiso as well, so papa need not go to other stores to buy them. This is a Philippine product. Usually, Jellyace (as we call them) are so sweet and syrupy, but this one is has the right sweetness (maybe because it's yogurt style, so it's less sweet than the usual ones) and has some nata bits.
So yeah, Valentine's can be every day. hahaha Won't be eating them in one sitting or I'll hurt my throat and won't be able to work. Haha Thanks papa! Until next Daiso grocery day. haha
Thanks for checking this post out, foodies! Until next time! ^^
