Palm of hearts are literally in my top ten favourite foods. I sometimes just buy a can and eat the whole thing as a snack. They are quite rare to find here in the Uk though and I found in Mexico they were far more common. Especially for us vegans they are a great source of protein.
I had this dish at the b unique hotel in Cozumel. I didn’t really understand everything but from a mixture of google images and translation I pretty much got what each dish was.
This was one of my favourites it was palm of hearts, carrots, mango, onion, corriander and chilli marinated with lime juice and chilli. Then served with corn chips.
It made a really nice alternative to guacamole and I am definitely going To be re creating this at home.
I had it with a b healthy smoothie which was one of the most delicious I have had. It was coconut milk, cranberries, strawberries, grapefruit and banana. The grapefruit really gave it a tang.
And who can beat this view whilst eating! You can sit inside or outside depending on preference.
