Hello. It’s so good to see you again . For today, I want to share my sour bamboo soup recipe.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast
- Sour bamboo root
- Ginger, dry pepper, garlic and paprika
- Onion and tomato
We just need few ingredients to get one delicious bowl of soup. I used one of our local products. That’s ` Taunggyi Myit Chin ‘ . Taunggyi is our town’s name and Myit Chin is Sour bamboo root in Burmese language. This sour bamboo is salted and spiced .
I’ve cubed chicken breast but I’m not gonna use all chicken cubes .
It’s time for pounding . I use nine cloves of garlic , one inch piece of ginger, there dry pepper and one tea spoon of paprika . If you want more spice, you can add more pepper or chili powder .
I’ve chopped one onion and half of tomato and save it for later.
First, I switch on the gas and put the pot on medium heat . Then add the ingredients I’ve pounded to the oil .
When it becomes nice and golden , I add half of the sour bamboo pack . That’s just for me so a whole pack isn’t necessary .
After stirring for three to four minutes , I add one cup of cubed chicken breast and stirred . When the chicken is a bit cooked , I add chopped onion and tomato again .
After leaving for about five minutes , I add water till cover all cubed chicken . And cover the pot and leave it for twenty to thirty minutes . For taste , I add one spoon of light soy sauce and one spoon of sugar .
Sour bamboo soup is the best soup to eat with rice . I think this soup and rice will be a perfect breakfast for hangover . You should try it too .
