Hello lovely hivers and hello foodies bee hive community. I hope you are having a good day today 🌸
It's Thursday now and supposedly I will cook some cabbage with egg because I bought some yesterday but because my father in-law bought some mussels and milkfish earlier I had no choice but to skipped cooking the cabbage that I bought yesterday.
This is the first time that I will cook some mussels as I am not eating one except for the bake mussels because I can't taste the mussels because of the cheese on top. Why I don't eat mussels? Well I don't like the texture and the after taste.
So earlier I went to my sister in-law to asked her how to cook it. I know how to cook mussels but I didn't know the process of cleaning it and then she taught me how to clean and cook it.
For the mussels recipe I will prepare it as a soupy one with ginger. I also saw this recipe to my sister in-law when me and my husband are in boyfriend and girlfriend stage.
Here's the ingredients needed:
Mussel
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
Tomatoes
Water
Fish Sauce
The preparation is very easy. You just need to sliced all the spices and clean the mussels. For cleaning the mussels my sister in-law said I need to remove the grassy feels that is attached on the shell and wash it a couple of times.
How to cook.
Add some onion to the pan and sauteed the ginger, garlic , onion and tomatoes. I always add the ginger first because my father told me so but maybe you can add some garlic first right?
Once the tomatoes cook like this you can now add the mussels and fish sauce and mix it for one minute.
Add some water and let it boil. Once the mussels shells is spreading that's the time you can turn off the heat. You can also add some green chili , pechay or moringa on this recipe if you like.
Here's the finished recipe.
Mussels in ginger soup.
I hope you like my recipe. Thank you for reading ❤️
