For today's recipe blog I will be sharing a simple, delicious, affordable and healthy recipe that you will surely love.
Have you ever heard about Tofuyaki? Yeah , it's not Takoyaki but Tofuyaki because the main ingredients of the recipe is tofu and it tooks like Takoyaki balls that's why it's called Tofuyaki. Basically it a mix of tofu and veggies and turn it into balls and fry then you can add some Takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise on top.
So now I will going to share how it cooks.
Let start with the ingredients 😊
- Tofu
- Carrots
- Egg
- Onion leeks
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic and onion
- All purpose flour
Preparation
Mashed the tofu like this and then add the grated carrots. You can also add some veggies like cabbage, celery or potato as long as you want but as for me I only add some carrots.
Add the onion leeks , garlic , onions , salt and pepper, egg and all purpose flour for the binding of the ingredients.
Mix well until it well combined. Taste it until you achieved your desired taste.
How to cook:
Put some oil in the pan and wait until it's hot. Make a ball shape out of tofu like this. I use two spoon to create a ball shape tofu and then put it in the pan with low heat.
This is the finished product of the tofuballs or tofuyaki and we will make some sauce to make it more delicious and appealing. I have made a good amount of tofu balls out of one bowl of mixture.
Sauce.
Sweet sauce - just mix brown sugar , soy sauce , water , black pepper and let it boil then add the slurry to make it thick.
Mayonnaise.I used Danes Mayonnaise with siracha because I was a little spicy kick on the dish but you can use any mayonnaise available on your kitchen.
