Oh wow! OK so if you haven't heard Moon Knight is the latest Marvel spin off to Grace Disney's streaming service and with productions like this you can see why Netflix has had a large exodus from their streaming service.
So what is Moon Knight?
Moon Knight is a Marvel comic book franchise that has hit the small or should we refer to streaming services as medium screen now due to their production budgets? Either way. Moon Knight is the latest Marvel series to launch on Disney.
It surrounds a museum inventory personal who, for the first few minutes of the show is grappling with what he believes to be bad dreams. But as we soon learn there is something far more sinister at play.
It isn't long before we find our protagonist at the base of a building with a bloodied jaw laying face down in a paddock and people commence shooting him.
At this stage we have no clue what's happening but are privileged to see a high speeds pursuit that involves our protagonist in discussions with himself.
But it isn't long until we are shown that this is nothing but a bad dream and our friendly museum inventory worker is back to his normal life. Except one thing, a number of days have passed and he has no idea where or how that has occured.
Upon returning to his flat he identifies a number of oddly occurrences and then he hears the voices once again. Only this time it isn't a dream.
Then after a few more scenes and some fighting mythical creatures while switching bodies that turn out to be invisible we learn that out protagonist is living with a mental health condition of split personalities.
And one of those personalities has made a deal with an Egyptian God in return for a pretty awesome regenerative suit which kind of reminded me of Spawn. Speaking of which when is the reboot due I loved that film.
The best part is that each personality has its own form of suite and at current there are only two personalities but we are starting to see a third one come through.
It's made for some ingenious viewing and I'm only 4 episodes in with this season only being 6 hr length episodes I'm already wanting more.
If you haven't already seen Moon Knight I would highly recommend tuning in as its a great Marvel Spin off and I have no idea where it sits in the broader Marvel Cinematic universe but great none the less!
