It rained all day long and made for one hell of a mess around the farm. Mid day I had to go and cut a drainage channel for the large puddles in the driveway to drain. The lowest spot always gets the bulk of the flow which then can run into the creek but since the soil is so porous it generally never makes it that far on the surface. The rest of the farm is quickly melting and the depth is getting much more shallow.
The prior batch from the freeze dryer had finished Sunday night and I let it defrost overnight. First thing in the morning I got the next batch loaded in. It is a run for our friend who dropped everything off on Sunday.
The tray of marshmallows are dairy free ones.
Trays of plain rice, spanish rice, and spaghetti, all chock full to the rim.
The last tray is chicken and steaks cut into strips and pieces.
Mid day R had preschool again as he does today. While he is at school J and I are going to get feed for the birds and then down to North 40 for a new 100amp breaker for the studios run from the house. It isn't supposed to rain today which is good since we got 3/4 inch yesterday which is 1.77 inches of just rain since the 1st when we got 10 inches of snow. Crazy ass weather.
With it dry today I am going to get the last of the 3 trees rigged and maybe taken down. I may wait till Thursday after the next storm, it depends on how the day goes but the sooner I get it down the better. I'd like to do all the chipping of the branches at one time and it would be nice to have less snow on the ground when I do so since they are all covered still.
