Growing Season!
Here's some of the amazing progress that my cucumbers have been doing over the past few weeks! This picture below is what they currently look like at around 3 weeks old! As you can see I've used some old tin cans that were previously used for baked beans, sweetcorn, or maybe they were kidney beans! But what this shows is that you don't need much to get started with growing your own food!
Starting From Scratch!
As you can see the cucumbers that I have used are Telegraph Improved Cucumbers, these are simply a household cucumber variety and grow well in the English climate. One thing to note is that you don't get many seeds in the packet when you buy cucumber seeds from the garden shop. I think i paid around 2.79GBP (15Hive) for this packet and got 8 seeds! That's why your support from all the upvoting is supporting me to get more packets of cucumber seeds as it's quite pricey! 2 Hive gets me 1 seed! That's why I've been plugging away so much with these and
(origional content) blog posts! So thank you for the support.
Patience
Growing my own food has really taught me some patience. 3 weeks into the growing, I've seen some growth but to me that's amazing. Perhaps to some others of you it isn't that overwhelming or exciting. But when I've had to be patient and investing time and energy every single day I really try to take the small victories! Perhaps it's evident that I used to want my gratification straight away and perhaps wasn't as grateful as I could be. When everything comes so easily, it's easy to move onto the next thing. The next high. But with nature, it forces me to be patient and to be honest I feel more grateful and appreciation as opposed to a rush of dopamine!
Thank You!
Thank you again for the support with all the upvotes and reblogs. Recently I've been getting a crazy amount of reblogs on peakd for me posts! Financially this is super because my posts can directly support the growing of my vegetables and fruits! So thank you for engaging with my content! As I mentioned before I had the thought of creating my own crpytocurrency, I've seen the brilliant work going on with some already amazing Hive based tokens: LOTUS with , FOODIE with
&
and ofcourse LEO over at
! It's inspiring me to create my own token and give it utility for people to use! Thanks again, see POSH tweet in the comments below!
