Hi Ecotrain community!
Todays post is all about helping each other out and sharing just because we are all connected. All the same family. These two bees met up in my kitchen and immediately started cleaning each other. It was beautiful to watch, they spent 4 or 5 minutes grooming each others heads and bodies.
Now we aren't bees and I don't expect you to stop someone you pass in the street to clean them in any way but look out around you in your neighbourhood for who might be needing help in some way or even help that you can mutually benefit from.
If you don't have a garden but want to start growing some veggies then ask a neighbour who does have a garden but is only growing a lawn to collaborate - share the work and the proceeds. I have done this myself on more than one occasion and people are usually delighted to have me create an organic vegetable patch on their land for us to share the produce from.
Apart from the obvious wealth of vegetables you gain from such a project , the act of gardening itself is a great way to workout and stay healthy. Working outside like this is so empowering in ways you wouldn't believe (until you try it ) - you will feel healthier, sleep much better and your general mood will be lifted - anxiety and stress melts away. Did you know there are naturally occurring chemicals in the earth that are absorbed through your skin that relieve stress? That's why gardening projects became so popular in many prisons around the world as it eases tensions and stress.
It would be so easy for every front garden , however small to be as plentiful as this fabulous example below - of what just a couple of fruit trees can do in a town garden to improve your health. Do you remember that old saying, - "An apple a day keeps the doctor away."
If you grow pots of fruit trees and have a few more than you need, think about giving one away to someone who has none. We can only store so much and to have more than you need while others go without is a situation so easy to remedy. Even if you just help one person improve their life, it will be a great thing that you do.There are many roads to a healthier future. Share, help, encourage. Laugh, love, enjoy!
