Temperatures on Earth will shoot past a key danger point unless greenhouse gas emissions fall faster than countries have committed.
A PICTORIAL REPRESENTATION OF WHAT BUSH BURNING LOOKS LIKE IN WEST AFRICA.
Here in tropical Africa man has contributed so much to the depletion of the ozone layer and causing a drastic negative change in the climate as a result of a lot of activities like; deforestation, bush burning, and increase in greenhouse gases, Industrialization, Power Plants, overfishing, Oil and Gas, Transport and Vehicles etc all these things mentioned can cause a drastic change to the climate especially throughout global warming.
GLOBAL WARMING A MAJOR FACTOR
What is global warming? Global warming is the extra heat within the earth’s atmosphere which has caused the rise in global temperature. Global warming leads and continues to cause climate change. Climate change can cause rising sea levels, destruction of communities, as well as extreme weather conditions.
**Let us discuss the solutions to climatic changes as a result of what I discussed above.
Remedies
Invest heavily in low-carbon electricity, transport, buildings and cities – and leave fossil fuels in the ground If all existing and planned fossil fuel infrastructure is allowed to live out its natural lifespan, the unchecked emissions from that alone will push the planet over its carbon budget for 1.5C. By 2050, almost all electricity would need to be from zero or low-carbon sources and more activities would need to run on electricity. Although the costs of climate inaction are higher than the cost of limiting warming to 2C, the world will need to make significant investments to transition to a low-carbon economy – but this finance isn’t flowing as fast as it needs to.
Use of renewable energy and electric-powered tech to replace fossil fuels The efficiencies of LED lights, heat pumps, electric cars, car sharing, remote working right up to compact, well-designed cities all add up. These gains would need to drive fossil fuel use down (not sideways). Immediate stop to bush burning Bush burning increases the emission of greenhouse gases causing climate change and global warming, ultimately depleting the ozone layer and this is mostly done in tropical Africa, we should always try curbing this by using bush clearing as an alternative. The use of tools and mechanical equipment we could lessen the need for bush burning thereby saving our climate.
We should also discard less food and instead reuse or recycle them for other meaningful purposes rather than letting them waste. This is because when you throw food away, you're also wasting the resources and energy that were used to grow, produce, package and transport it. And when food rots in a landfill, it produces methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. So use what you buy and compost any leftovers.
When we evaluate all these I’ve written we would be able to curb harmful effects of global warming on our climate there by making the world a more better and conducive place to find yourself.
