Hello lovely members of the community 👋👋👋
I hope you all are doing great and enjoying quality time with your loved ones.
why is it so hard to meditate?
Meditation may be a difficult undertaking for beginners, and I make no claim to be an expert.
I attempt to meditate every now and again, but my mind wanders.
It's like trying not to think about something but yet doing so.
We have this fear that it is really difficult to relax the mind. But we don't need to quiet anything down; we just need to pay attention to our ideas.
Fear, I feel, is the primary reason mediation is so difficult.
Our worries make it more difficult to mediate because our brain prefers familiarity, so when we attempt new things, it makes it more difficult since it perceives it as a possible threat. That's something I read somewhere.
Another explanation may be that we don't think we'll be able to complete it and what's the purpose, these are just thoughts, I have a lot of important job to do, or that the setting is too noisy for it to be done here.
Basically, we make excuses for ourselves because we are afraid of discovering something we never believed in.
I really like this phrase I saw on the internet about mediation being simple to grasp. Anyone who understands how to worry understands how to meditate. Worries are adept at meditation, but they are focusing on the incorrect kinds of thoughts.
