It may sound really crazy if I say that we need to follow our routine during our stressful days. Because we usually do the total opposite. But when I learned more about how following a routine can help us during our bad days or during hectic days it helped me go with the routine more.
I guess we all know how important it is to follow some routine in life. I wouldn't say following a strict routine is always good. Because I always believe we should take time off, break some routine sometimes. But during our bad day, we must think about following what we meant to finish. It's not like we have to finish all our 'to-do's' because that would bring extra pressure. But we can follow the routine easily.
The lake of routine or following a structure can lead us to be more stressed the other day. So, we can actually end the stressful day right there just by doing what we meant to. Like, if you spend a very busy, hectic day at the office; when you come back home don't skip taking your dinner or bath. If you leave some house chores that you meant to do it will make your next day more stressful.
Following a routine can make us feel less stressed and more focused. Because we know what we need to do and what else is on our list to do. So think about it during your stressful day and make a wise decision. But it's also necessary to find 'what works' for you. Because sometimes you will feel really less productive or motivated to follow the routine because of your exhaustion.
