I can't imagine life without electricity. In my region of Western Canada, we have 100% hydroelectric power produced by our generation dams. Power is consistent and reliable 98% of the time. Outages seldom happen like about once every two years for no more than a few hours. However, I Live in an earthquake zone, I have a small capacity electric solar generator that could run my clothes washer or hot plate when needed. A luxury after an earthquake.
