With education the basic curriculum's objective and goal is to teach and learn essential life skills; ability to read and write with an acceptable level of comprehension, proficient in mathematical skills, financial literacy, and critical thinking skills and tools for a new adult making his or her way into the world.
However, my Canadian public school system graduates young adults that can barely read and write, can't balance a check book and obsessed with social justice.
I spent almost half my pension to put my sons into private school. My sons were diagnosed with dyslexia, the private school did wonders where the public school cannot. Not only that my sons met the Provincial curriculum's standard they were also awarded scholarships.
