Poem # 14/ Poema # 14
Título original / Original title:
¿Capelucita Roja? / Litte Red Riddle Hood?
Introduction
As I've mentioned before, this series - Alchemy of Poetic Words / Alquimia de Palabras Poéticas - is a project I began in 2013. It's a quiet collection of poems born from memory, emotion, and fleeting moments, carefully gathered over the years in my notebooks. Back then, I dreamed of turning them into a book, each paired with original illustrations by Salvador Jaramillo, a gifted designer and colleague from Mexico. Salvador illustrated works by Indigenous writers, and his art carries a deep, poetic connection to Mexican culture.
Here with another poem
If you feel curiosity to read the Poem #13 you can read it here .
Salvador design's are ended after 7 Poems. Then, I am doing the experiment this time with the help of AI to generate an image for this poem number 14. In this one I was having issues to use the same source for generating images, which is not anymore available.
Well, I found out to use Dell 3 in Bing.
Therefore, here we are with poem #14. This one is another making me to recall that image and souvenirs from my son at his creative and innocent age of 5~6. It is really surprising how children can react and deduct, even create things, meaning of words even they are not related. I am keeping this one into my deep feelings.. Now he is a young man, just 18 y.o.
Spanish Version
¿Capelucita Roja?
English Version
- Litte Red Riddle Hood?
Litte Red Riding Hood?
– Don't mess up the fuzz inside your jacket!
– What's 'fuzz'?– my little boy asks.
–Well, it's the soft lining on the inside.
– Ohhh! So that's why she's called Little Red Fuzz-Hood!
I couldn't help but smile – and laugh quietly inside. What a clever little twist! I thought to myself, but I didn't want to break his sweet spell:
– Yeah, Ale, you're absolutely right.
The experiment
For a free version of A.I. is not bad the result I saw till now. Well, maybe later I can check with better tools something much more expressive. In the meantime, I am doing my best to retake my poems and share them here. The challenge sometimes is to keep the same feeling from Spanish to English. At the same time it is a good exercise for me to improve my foreign language.
I am getting the idea to sell my +50 poems in Spanish without illustrations. Kind of challenging to see how, as I am busy in my actual job. Something cheap to experiment about selling my first Digital product. Maybe I could accept some (undervalued) HIVE 😂
In the meantime I am having fun with the results of images with AI for my poems. At the same time it makes me recall those feelings when writing each one.
Thank you for reading - and for holding space for these small, searching into a dream!
