Every moment of this collaborative challenge between DreemPort and Ecency has been a delightful experience and it has helped to pique my interest in Ecency and everything about the project.
The first week of the challenge was amazing. This second week of the challenge is even more interesting. Having to splash Ecency points on people's posts made me realise that those points are truly worth their weight in Gold.
I'm trying to stay off screen because of my eyes so, I will give you a brief rundown on how I used my points this week... Based on the instruction of the contest.
Day 1: Use some points to boost someone on your team!
On record, I have no team for this week of the challenge. Hehe. But finding someone is no big deal. I decided to go with someone I first met as a mentor in 2020 when I first got into DreemPort's discord Channel. Yeah, I chose to boost this post 👈 published by shadowspub.
She earned the boost because of who she is, not necessarily because of the post. To be fair, even a 'HI' from her deserves a boost. That's just a snippet of how I rate her.
Day 2: Boost-a-newbie day.
I don't know the yardstick any of you use in deciding who you see as a newbie, but for this particular part of the challenge, I decided to boost this post 👈 published by justfavour. I first came across his profile last week while screening his post in DreemPort.
I decided to boost this post of his post after going back and forth with him in discord when I tried to teach him the proper way to source images. It took a while... Haha... I mean, longer than a while... but he learned and I hope he is applying that in all his posts especially the ones he will be submitting to DreemPort.
Day 3: Choose a community for your TEAM to boost...
Hmmm... This is where I had the MOST fun. Hehe. Guess what?
A boost would never have been enough. I had fun with the Venezuela community and I even got to have nice chat with them on their discord Channel. So, 3000 ecency points went to them. 1000 of it was shared by community members that were part of the voice chat while 2000 was for the project to be invested in growing their Community.
I saw something special in them and how they ALWAYS encouraged each other despite the mess in their country. I wish a certain joke of a country I know will be like this 😏. Well, I also got to boost this post 👈 published by visualblock, the official Community account for them Venezuelans. Looking forward to my next convo with them in the future.
Day 4: Boost-a-buddy!
Ever heard of marito from the seaside of margarita in Venezuela? Hehe.
I can still remember the first time my path and hers crossed back in January 2021. We both joined Hive during the same period and we passed through Newbie Initative together. Since then till date, we've been sending virtual hugs to each other in comment sections. Hehe. She is one special lady blessed with a nice family.
This post of hers got a boost from me. Just to demonstrate how much I value her and the things she do here, the post I boosted was about nature/plants and I hold many things against such posts. Haha. But she still got a good comment and boost on that. Why? Why not? She is marito! God bless you, marito.
