One day, a new teacher came to the village school. He didn't just teach, he also talked about life. One day in class, he said,
“If you keep joy within yourself, it becomes small. But if you share it, it becomes big—and that's when knowledge and love are born.”
Raihan couldn't understand what he was saying. He thought, how does joy increase when you share it again!
A few days later, a competition was held at school. Raihan came first. Everyone congratulated him, but he just remained quietly happy with his success. He didn't share his feelings with anyone. When he returned home, he noticed that his joy was fading very quickly.
The next day, he saw one of his classmates—Robin—sitting with a sad face. He was very disappointed because he did poorly in the exam. Raihan hesitated a little, but finally went ahead and said,
“Come on, I’ll explain it to you. We’ll study together.”
Robin was surprised but agreed. Raihan started teaching him patiently. Within a few days, Robin’s results also started to improve. That day, Robin happily hugged Raihan.
At that moment, Raihan felt a strange feeling. He realized that this joy was much greater than before. Because, it is not only about his own success, but also about the smiles of others.
Gradually, Raihan started changing. He started sharing his knowledge with others. And at the same time, he felt that a kind of affection and love for people was being born within him.
One day, he went to the teacher and said,
“Sir, I understand. Sharing joy really gives you knowledge and love.”
The teacher smiled and said,
“He who can spread his joy to others is never alone. His knowledge increases, and his heart is filled with love.”
From that day on, joy in Raihan's life meant not just getting something for himself, but sharing it with others. Because he understood that joy does not diminish when shared, but rather returns even greater as knowledge and love.
