As batteries have been improving its capacity and weight, they have been gaining share in many different devices sales. I tend to compare what is going to happen with cars with what has happened with bicycles. If we take a look at the german marked bicycle sales, we can already see, sales of e-bikes have surpassed those of regular bicycles since 2024.

I am sure a similar process is going to happen with EV sales as battery technology keeps improving in terms of cost, size and recharging times which will lead to more and more people considering getting an EV instead of a fuel one. We tend to forget most of car trips are short distance and vehicles can be charged at night without any lines and at a much lower cost than fuel. Not to mention, those individuals having solar energy home which may even charge their vehicles at almost zero cost.
Depending on fuel for a vehicle makes you suffer market price conditions plus all the taxes governments have added to the fuel price. The freedom and cost reduction you experience using an EV charged home is way more important than spending a few more minutes charging it at a charging station only once in a while.
I have been dealing with solar systems at home and farm for several years by now, and I am considering getting most of my farming tools electric considering cost of storing fuel, price, and maintenance of all the tools which is also a big difference between electric and fuel equipment.
