Directly from tree - contains love and friendship
Finally they are ready to be consumed, this is going to be our first mango fest, and what could have been better to get them directly from tree with lots of love and a new friendship. If you remember, I posted about these mangoes here when they were babies. When I went for my morning exercise , I noticed a gentleman picking them from the tree.
The tool that he was using made me very curious, because its a very traditional way of plucking mangoes from the tree, and my mother prepares that at our home in the mango season. So I took a pause and decided to go and talk with him. He is our neighbor and never did we meet earlier, the tree has been kind to come to our side, and he came to harvest the mangoes are they are ready to ripen. He was kind to give me some time and after talking for few minutes, I realized he is very polite, humble and a down to earth person - my kind. Life teaches us many things in hard way, if you have gone through it, then you know what I am talking. Using these kind of tools or plucking mangoes like this, or climbing a tree or being able to do anything as necessary will probably be extinct in our next generation.
Have you ever seen this tool ? Let's have a closer look.
Looks super useful, isn't it ? But making it needs careful execution - you need the right skill and materials. The bamboo, the net, then those small pieces that does the trick to pull the mangoes, making that round shape (usually done using bamboo or wire) and most importantly binding them well to hold - that's not easy. Imagine, what would happen, if the net does not hold when you have few mangoes inside. It would be as good as throwing them if that happens. It's worth to do some trial runs to realize how many can be picked safely, starting with few.
As he continued picking them from the tree, I continued my exercise and coming in between to click these moments. In half an hour or so, he was almost done and I also finished my running. So we started interacting more about our natives and found out that we both belong to the same place. Then we also discussed about life in general and a new friendship began - I even talked about Crypto / HIVE a bit, as I came to know he is associated with some stage programs - a content producer. Since I had to go to drop my daughter at school, we wrapped up the discussion and I started doing my stretching, to be able to go to school. He started packing them in a bag. To my surprise, after he packed the bag, he came and handed over me a packet having lot of mangoes.
What a pleasant surprise !! The first mango of the season, that too organic, directly from tree with so much love - only few people have this kind of heart today - may be 5-10 %. Those who know the joy of giving.
